In the source of hot spring, Taitung’s Chihpen, there is a workshop called Varasa. A former national female soccer player named Ma Chiu resides here. She is both a mother and wife, and at the same time, an artist of stone painting. From picking stones by Chihpen’s seaside, she followed her ancestry back to the tribal culture of Stone-born. Thus one after another painted stones with linkage to Ma Chiu’s ancestral totems are born under her paintbrush. Inadvertently an avenue using tribal culture for business purpose is opened up. As a person who cares a lot about the tribe’s education, she is also a community volunteer. She shares her discovery in stones and painting with all the children, leads them in soccer playing and stone paintings. Her dream is to uncover, together with children, the ancient wisdom bequeathed by the ancestor’s culture.
